Start your first day of river rafting off right with a delicious breakfast at the centrally located Siquirres Exploration Center. Feel confident after a 45-minute safety orientation and paddle practice before we even get into the water. Warm up on the first morning with 13 km/8 mi whitewater decent of continuous Class III rapids for a total of 14 fun and moderate rapids.

At noon we will arrive at our Pacuare River Lodge for a great lunch and time to relax in welcoming hammocks, take a hike around the beautiful area, or relax and fish in the gorgeous Pacuare River. We will then enjoy Happy Hour at 5:00 followed by an outstanding dinner at the Lodge. Accommodations on the river are a bit rustic and don't expect to be streaming Netflix, but there is nothing like the sounds of the rainforest at night to lull you to sleep. This is a unique experience in Costa Rica that anyone with a sense of adventure should not dare miss.

Day Two starts bright and early with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Get ready to prove your paddling skills with Class IV rapids for 23 km/14 mi. Sound like quite a distance? Don't stress! We make two stops along the way to ensure that everyone is well-rested and up to the challenge! The first stop allows time for an exploratory hike and the second stop provides a satisfying lunch on the river. This adventure finishes up back at our Exploration Center in Siquirres, where you have the option of continuing on to San Jose, the Arenal Volcano region, or the Southern Caribbean.
