Departures: Departs at 8:30am or 1:00pm daily from Manzanillo beach. Optional roundtrip transportation available from most hotels in Punta Negra, Puerto Viejo, Cocles & Playa Bonita for an additional fee. Select with or without transportation when booking. Punta Mona Costa Rica Dolphin Tour Recommendations:

Children: Minimum age is 6 years old to participate. Children ages 6 to 12 years old pay half price!
Restrictions: There is no pier at Manzanillo beach or Punta Mona beach. So, you will need to be able to climb into and out of the boat on the beach with minimal assistance. If you wish to participate in the optional snorkeling, no previous snorkeling experience required, but it is recommended you know how to swim. Life preservers will be provided and it is mandatory to have them with you at all times while snorkeling Punta Mona
Insider Tip: There is a large population of dolphins in the Gandoca Manzanillo marine park, so your chances of spotting and maybe even swimming with dolphins in Costa Rica is about 90%! Those are some pretty good odds, even if spotting dolphins is not guaranteed. The beach at Punta Mona is very remote and a lovely place to spend an hour or two enjoying the crystal clear Caribbean Sea.
Important Note About Snorkeling in Puerto Viejo: When the weather is perfect, snorkeling Costa Rica's Caribbean coast is a dream come true you do not want to miss out on. When it is raining however, the water tends to get murky and muddy and is really not recommended. We recommend you contact us 3 to 5 days before you plan to snorkel so we can check conditions and recommend which snorkeling excursions will or will not work for you.
