Departures: Departs on select weekend dates alternating Saturdays and Sundays from Puntarenas at 8:00 am. Transportation from 3 meeting points in San Jose, Heredia or Alajuela optional. Pick ups begin around 5:00am in San Jose centro meeting location. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation vouchers.
Length: Approximately 7 hours not including transportation and free time in Puntarenas. Approximate return time to San Jose is between 7:15 and 8:00pm.
Isla San Lucas Tour by Fast Boat Recommendations:
- * Comfortable layered clothing
- * Sport sandals or closed toed shoes for the nature hike and prison tour
- * Swimsuit & towel
- * Flip flops for the beach
- * Sunglasses or sun hat
- * Biodegradable sunblock or UV protective clothing
- * Small day pack
- * Refillable water bottle
- * Camera or fully charged cell phone (waterproof casing is recommended)
- * Copy of your passport for park entrance (we will need that info in advance to purchase your park pass)
- * Cash for tour balance if not paid in advance, any incidentals and tips for your guides
Children: All ages are welcome, however we do not recommend this tour for guests traveling with infants and toddlers in general. It is a long day for the little tikes. Children ages 5 to 10 pay a discounted rate.
Restrictions: This tour is suitable for most all ages so long as you do not have mobility issues. The boat ride can be bumpy, so this is not suitable for pregnant women and really small children. You will need to be able to walk a good distance on the island during the tours and it is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately.

Important Booking Note: For the best experience, we sometimes have to make changes in the itinerary. The tour is typically done in this order, however sometimes due to the availability of the Isla San Lucas National Park, the tour will have to be done in reverse with the beach first and the Prison Tour last. We also may change the beach we visit depending the crowds.
