Monteverde to La Fortuna Lake Crossing Shuttle Includes:

Departures: Twice daily at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Afternoon shuttles require a minimum of 4 passengers to operate. Pickup times begin up to one hour before departure. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation voucher.

Children: There is no minimum age and children pay the same price as adults.
Restrictions: Sorry, the public lake crossing is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations. Depending on your specific needs and any equipment you are traveling with, we may be able to accommodate you on a private service.
Insider Tip: This is one of our favorite ways to travel from Monteverde to La Fortuna because the journey becomes part of the adventure. Instead of spending hours driving around Lake Arenal, you'll cruise across the lake while enjoying incredible views of the Arenal Volcano that many visitors never get to experience. During the dry season (December through April), the lake is typically calm with excellent visibility. If you're visiting during Costa Rica's green season, don't worry—we'll keep your luggage dry, but we do recommend bringing a light rain jacket or poncho since the crossing can occasionally be a little splashy.
