Departures: Departs at 7:30 am from hotels around the Gulf of Papagayo. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation voucher sent via email.
Length: Rio Celeste Tubing tour is approximately 8 hours, combo tour with the Rio Celeste Waterfall Hike is approximately 11 hours. Time varies according to flow of the river.

Children: The whole family is welcome. The minimum age to tube Rio Celeste safely is 4 years old. Children ages 4 to 10 pay a discounted rate.
Restrictions: This is a remote destination. Although you will be equipped with life jackets, it is important that participants are in good physical condition and have prior swimming experience and no heart or back issues that could inhibit their ability to safely navigate their tube down the river. The hike to Rio Celeste Waterfall has easy to moderate trails and the hike down can be mildly challenging.
Important Booking Note: This tour requires a minimum of 4 people. If we do not have 4 people on the day your requested, you will be put on standby or offered another date when we have the minimal guests. Bookings must be made a minimal of 48 hours prior to contract the river guides at least one day in advance. If you are trying to book for tomorrow, please contact us to check availability.
Insider Tip: If you are coming all the way from the Gulf of Papagayo, we highly suggest you spring for the combo with the hike. The tubing is incredible and you will see the blue river Costa Rica is so famous for, but the photo ops at the waterfall are well worth the hike. Beware though during the rainy season (July to October). When it is raining a lot, the water can start to look like chocolate milk rather than crystal blue.
