Lake Arenal Tubing Details
Tubing Lake Arenal Includes:

Departures: Daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at Lake Arenal. Check in will be 15 min before your start time. Hotel pick-ups can be provided for an additional rate. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation voucher.
Length: Up to you but we recommend more than 30 to 45 minutes to really experience the thrill!
Tubing Lake Arenal Recommendations:
- * Light layered clothing over your swimsuit
- * Securely fitting swimsuit
- * Towel
- * Sandals or watershoes
- * Secure sun hat and sunglasses to protect your face from Sun
- * Biodegradable sun block or UV protective clothing
- * Waterproof Camera or GoPro setup
- * Cash for balance, observer fees and tips for the crew
Children: Tubing is a fun safe activity for all ages. However, for the strength that is needed to hold the tow rope, the minimum recommended age is 6 years and must have basic swimming skills. Children can ride with their parents.
Restrictions: All watersports are pretty much a full body workout. Although we can modify the speeds for all ages and activity levels, we do not recommend this type of water sports in Costa Rica for anyone who is not in good healthy physical condition. This is a bouncy ride. In other words, if you suffer from chronic back or neck pain, this is not the best activity for you. But you can always come along for the ride. Observers only pay $3 for the lake access fee to join the fun*
Insider Tip: If you are looking for something fun for the whole family, even if one or two of you is a bit timid about getting in the water, tubing Lake Arenal is a great way to spend the day in La Fortuna. For those that do not want to go tubing, you can come along for the ride and be the paparazzi. Trust us, watching your friends and family bounce around behind the boat is entertainment that should be captured and saved in the family archives for a good laugh for generations to come.
*Observers: Are permitted to come along, however spaces for observers are limited as those participating will take first priority. If you would like to join your family, please note in the special instructions box how many observers are in your group and we can secure the spaces for you if available. You must have one active participant per observer minimum.
